Sugar dissolving system
The COROSYS sugar dissolver guarantees a quick dissolving process for granulated sugar and thus an efficient production of sugar syrup. It can be mixed with other beverage ingredients like aroma, color etc. in the downstream syrup room. A sugar dissolver is applied for the preparation of sugar syrup in the production process for soft drinks (such as carbonated soft drinks, energy drinks, juice-mix beverages). Also as a wort additive in breweries or for the preparation of beer-mix beverages sugar syrup is used.
Depending on customer specifications and operating conditions we can design the sugar dissolver as a continuous or batch process. The dissolving temperature can be hot or cold. Besides commonly used sucrose other types of crystal sugar can also be processed. After the dissolving process is completed, the sugar syrup can optionally be filtered and treated with heat or UV light to increase the microbiological stability. Afterwards the sugar syrup is usually stored in tanks before it is transferred to the following syrup room.

Advantages and functions
Technical description
The granulated sugar is supplied in various containers. Delivery in silo vehicles is ideal for large processing quantities. The sugar is first transported in silos and from there fed to the sugar dissolver by screw conveyor or pneumatic conveying systems. For smaller capacities the processing of bagged goods (e.g. 50 kg bags or 1000 kg big bags) is common. The 50 kg bags are emptied manually into a feed hopper. Large Big Bags can optionally be fed via a Big Bag emptying station with an integrated crane device. From the feeding station, the sugar can either be fed to the dissolving tank via a screw conveyor or directly dissolved inline via a special inline dissolving pump.
With the addition of warm water, the sugar is dissolved batchwise by circulating it with a pump. Temperature control by means of an integrated heating system is also possible. There is an inline Brix measurement in the circulation pipe which continuously monitors the Brix value and thus adjusts the target value of the liquid sugar fully automatically. The optimal setting of the dissolving temperature of the liquid sugar minimizes energy consumption and saves cost.
The sugar dissolver and the corresponding syrup room can be controlled via a PLC control with touch panel or via a higher-level process control system. Designed for high hygienic standards, the systems are suitable for all cleaning agents commonly used in the beverage industry.
