CO2 recovery system CRS

The CRS: Decarbonization and production solutionWith our advanced CO2 recovery system, CRS, we offer you the opportunity to efficiently recover carbon dioxide generated during the fermentation process and reuse it in subsequent production steps. This innovative technology not only enables sustainable CO2 utilization but also provides numerous benefits for your business.

By recovering CO2 from fermentation, you can significantly reduce the need for additional CO2  purchases while simultaneously drastically lowering the emissions of CO2 generated during the brewing process. This not only contributes to reducing your environmental impact but also leads to cost savings since you will be less reliant on external suppliers with fluctuating market prices.

Another crucial aspect is that our CRS CO2 recovery system is economically viable even for smaller-scale operations. This opens doors for medium-sized breweries to harness the advantages of this technology. Our goal is to make sustainable solutions more accessible in the brewing industry while enhancing the cost-effectiveness of your production.

With the CRS system, you‘re not only making a statement for environmental protection and sustainability but also for the efficiency and profitability of your brewery. You‘re not just recovering CO2; you‘re gaining a competitive edge in an ever-evolving industry.

How Does the CRS Work?
Our CO2  recovery system, CRS, operates with extreme efficiency to obtain the highest quality and purity of CO2 . The process begins by collecting the CO2  generated during the brewing process in a gas balloon. It then undergoes a two-stage gas scrubbing process for preliminary cleaning, followed by compression through a compressor. To further enhance CO2 purity, it passes through an activated carbon filter and is subsequently dried. Optionally, distillation can be added to further increase CO2  purity before it’s stored in a CO2  storage tank.

For maximum efficiency, we offer a foam trap as an option to separate any entrained foam before entering the gas collection balloon. This contributes to further enhancing the quality of the recovered CO2.

However, our holistic approach goes beyond CO2 recovery. We also consider your energy requirements and refrigeration system to collaboratively determine how the CRS can optimize your entire production processes. This not only enables sustainable CO2 utilization but also significant cost savings and overall improved operational efficiency.

With the CRS system, you receive not only the highest quality CO2 but also a tailor-made solution that optimizes your production processes while minimizing your environmental footprint. We are committed to helping you achieve your operational goals and promote sustainability in your brewery.

Why should you choose the CRS?

  • Energy efficiency: The system operates highly efficiently thanks to various energy recovery systems, helping reduce energy consumption.
  • Water-saving: Water used for recovery in various stages is reused wherever possible in other steps, reducing water demand.
  • Easy integration: The system is pre-assembled, pre-wired, and tested.
  • Fully automatic operation: Intuitive control with the corosys compass allows for effortless operation, or the system can be fully integrated into your process control system.
  • Everywhere in view: With our Smart Machine operational data acquisition, you have access to operational data and reports from anywhere.
