Pasteurization, Sterilization and Cooling

Achieving a long shelf life while maintaining the taste and visual quality of the beverages is a key factor for their success on the market. For this purpose we offer the classic process of flash pasteurization from our product portfolio. In addition, we supply solutions for sterilizing wort, autolyzing yeast and cooling beer and wort.

Our solutions for pasteurization and cooling

The search for the right process plant can be difficult. If you have any questions or would like advice, our specialists will be happy to assist you.

The Flash Pasteurization System (FPS) gently pasteurizes beer, beer mix drinks and carbonated beverages. The product is first regeneratively heated and then heated to the pasteurization temperature via a hot water circuit. After passing the holding pipe, the product is cooled down regeneratively and further cooled with glycol or ice wate

Capacity: 15 to 500 hl/h / 1.5 to 50 m3/h
Pasteurization units: according to customer specification
Heat recovery: up to 95 %

The Wort Sterilization System (CWS) is used for the production of cold sterile beer wort. The beer wort is heated up to 110 °C to ensure absolute sterility. The temperature is kept for a specified time while the wort is flowing through the holding pipe. Then the wort is cooled down regeneratively and further cooled with glycol or ammonia.

Capacity: 10 to 100 hl/h
Sterilization temperature: 110° C
Heat recovery: up to 95 %

The function of the yeast autolyzer is a reliable inactivation of the yeast cells in the harvested yeast by heat. The old yeast can then be sold as animal feed, for example, and thus offers an additional source of income.

Capacity: 15 to 500 hl/h / 1,5 to 50 m3/h
Pasteurization units: according to customer specification
Heat recovery: up to 95 %

Our beer cooler cools the beer to temperatures of -1 to -2 °C with the help of a cooling medium, usually glycol. This takes place in a single-stage plate heat exchanger.

Capacity: 15 to 1000 hl/h / 1,5 to 100 m3/h
Cooling temperature: according to customer specification
Cooling media: glycol or ammonia

In the wort cooler, the hot wort is cooled down after boiling to the pitching temperature of 5 to 15°C. This is done in a two-stage plate heat exchanger, first cooled by brewing water and then by glycol.

Capacity: 15 to 1000 hl/h / 1,5 to 100 m3/h
Cooling temperature: according to customer specification
Cooling media: brewing water, glycol or ammonia
