Project Description

From sweet moster to international branded goods manufacturer

Necessity is the mother of invention. And so, even with riha WeserGold – so named after the initial letters of its founder – a problem stood at the beginning of a success story that continues to this day. In the case of Richard Hartinger, this “need” was his great thirst, caused by the intense heat of his work as a glassblower. His solution: apple juice, which he first pressed himself from the abundant apples for his own needs.

For this he built a simple hand press – a development that many others would follow. In 1934, Richard Hartinger produced soft drinks commercially for the first time.
