Project Description

The beer history in the Allgäu dates back to the time of the Celts more than 2,000 years ago. Monks from the Imperial Abbey of St. Gallen were the first to brew beer commercially in Kempten.
As one of the oldest breweries in Germany, the Allgäuer Brauhaus can proudly look back on more than 600 years of tradition. Already in 1394 the archives report about the Stiftsbrauerei, the origin of today’s Allgäuer Brauhaus. The Allgäuer Brauhaus AG was finally founded in 1911.
